He is risen! He is risen Indeed!
Believe it or not those are, in my opinion, the best words in the English language. Those words assure us that we have a God who loves us so much he sent his Son to die for our sins, so that we might have abundant life. Those words assure us that we have a God who keeps God’s promises.
Jesus told the disciples that he would be crucified and then he would be raised from the dead in three days. God kept and keeps God’s promises. However, like the disciples of the 1st Century, I wonder at times if we forget God’s word, perhaps dismiss God’s word or even doubt God’s word.
This Easter season and always, may you know that God has kept and does keep God’s promises. The tomb is empty. The messenger’s from God ask why do we look for the living among the dead. We are invited to live in the Easter hope, joy and love because He is risen. He is risen, indeed!
