On Sunday, we were reminded about the behaviors of sheep. Sheep are easily let astray and need a shepherd to protect them and keep them safe. We were reminded of the sheep’s behavior because our text in Mark said, “Jesus had compassion on them as sheep without a shepherd.” We asked what does that kind of compassion look like.
We shared examples of that kind of compassion. It is a compassion that meets people where they are and provide for there needs where they are. It is a compassion that respects each person as created in the image of God. It is a compassion that serves neighbor and loves neighbor as God loves us. May we this week and always be compassionate to others as God is compassionate to us.
Prayers and peace,
Pastor Lesley
